Central Delhi experienced significant gridlock and public transport paralysis today as protests led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) intensified. Authorities ordered the closure of 17 metro stations across the capital to manage the influx of demonstrators, causing massive inconvenience for daily commuters and office workers. The protests, which center on demands for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, have drawn a diverse crowd, including notable figures like educator Alakh Pandey.
The demonstrations reached a flashpoint near Jantar Mantar, where fresh clashes between protesters and law enforcement resulted in injuries to five police officers.
