Released by Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda on January 2, 2026, this edition introduces 121 new monographs, bringing the total to 3,340. India's commitment to enhancing drug quality is further demonstrated by its progress in pharmacovigilance. The country has risen from 123rd to 8th globally in contributions to the World Health Organization's pharmacovigilance database by 2025.
