In a shocking incident in Jaipur, Rajasthan, a 23-year-old woman named Ayushi Sharma has been arrested for orchestrating the murder of her 45-year-old mother, Neeraj Sharma, to secure her late father's government job and inherit family property. The crime was initially staged to appear as a road accident.

On July 3, Neeraj Sharma, a Lower Division Clerk (LDC) at a local court, was fatally struck by a speeding Scorpio SUV while returning home after dropping her son at a coaching institute. The driver fled the scene, and the incident was initially reported as a tragic accident.

However, suspicions arose when Neeraj's brother, Rakesh Kumar Sharma, filed a complaint alleging foul play and naming his niece, Ayushi, and others in the FIR. This led to a thorough investigation by the police.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Ranjita Sharma stated that the investigation revealed the death was not accidental but a pre-planned murder. Ayushi, along with her uncle Mohan Swaroop and cousin Balram alias Ravi, conspired to eliminate Neeraj. They hired Bharatpur resident Hemant Sharma for ₹7 lakh to carry out the murder.

The accused initially rented a Thar SUV and conducted surveillance on Neeraj for several days but failed to execute the plan. They then continued monitoring her movements for nearly a month before carrying out the attack using the Scorpio SUV.

According to the investigation, Ayushi wanted her mother's government job, which she had secured on compassionate grounds following her father's death. Ayushi had also been involved in a property dispute with her mother for the past two to three years.

The police arrested Ayushi Sharma, Mohan Swaroop, Mohit Sharma, Akash Sharma, Arvind Sharma, Hemant Sharma, and Rohit Jatav in connection with the case. Balram alias Ravi remains absconding, and efforts to trace him are underway.

This incident highlights the lengths to which individuals may go to secure personal gains, even at the expense of family bonds and moral values.
