Data released by PERKESO shows that July saw roughly 3,800 claims, up from about 1,200 in June, more than a three‑fold increase. The rise is reflected across manufacturing, construction and services sectors, where most claims originated.
Officials attribute the jump to heightened awareness after a recent outreach campaign, tighter enforcement of reporting obligations, and a modest uptick in workplace accidents during the monsoon season.
