Located at 5 HarbourFront Avenue, approximately 70 meters from the existing terminal within HarbourFront Centre, the new facility aims to streamline ferry and cruise operations with features reminiscent of airport procedures.

**Modernized Check-In Process**

Upon entering the terminal, travelers will encounter a self-service check-in system. The first floor is equipped with 25 self-service kiosks, allowing passengers to print boarding passes and baggage tags independently. Following check-in, luggage can be dropped off at one of six self-service baggage drop counters, expediting the boarding process. This system marks a significant improvement over the current process, where passengers purchasing ferry tickets online still need to collect boarding passes at the ferry operator's counter.

For travelers with special requirements, such as those carrying bicycles or other oversized items, the terminal provides a designated area for processing and handling, ensuring a smooth experience for all passengers.

**Enhanced Immigration and Boarding Procedures**

After completing check-in and baggage drop, passengers proceed to the second floor for immigration clearance. The terminal boasts 14 automated clearance lanes, including eight special assistance lanes tailored for families with young children, seniors, wheelchair users, and pregnant passengers. Some lanes are dedicated exclusively to Singapore passport holders, streamlining the process for local travelers. Notably, Singapore citizens and permanent residents can clear immigration without presenting a passport, utilizing the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority's automated border clearance system, which verifies travelers through facial biometrics.

Boarding is facilitated by six automated gates, designed to expedite the process and reduce wait times. The departure hall's passenger waiting area is approximately 50% larger than the previous terminal, featuring a new VIP lounge that can accommodate up to 70 passengers, providing a comfortable environment before departure.

**Amenities and Accessibility**

The terminal offers a variety of food and beverage options on both floors, including familiar outlets such as Old Chang Kee, 7-Eleven, and Subway, catering to diverse passenger preferences. While the terminal does not feature destination restaurants, the available options are designed for quick and convenient dining experiences.

Additional facilities include nursing rooms, prayer rooms, wheelchair lifts, and electric vehicle charging points, ensuring accessibility and convenience for all passengers. Passengers are encouraged to use public transport to reach the terminal, as parking spaces are limited. The terminal is accessible via HarbourFront MRT station Exit B, with sheltered walkways connecting it to the station and VivoCity mall.

**Relocation and Future Developments**

The relocation of ferry and cruise operations to the new terminal will occur in two phases. Batam Fast Ferry will commence operations from the new terminal on July 7, followed by the remaining ferry operators—Horizon Fast Ferry, Majestic Fast Ferry, Sindo Ferry, and Indo Falcon Shipping & Travel—on July 15, along with cruise operations. Ferry routes, destinations, and schedules will remain unchanged, as will ferry and cruise berth locations.

The existing HarbourFront Centre, which has been a longstanding hub for ferry and cruise services, is slated to cease operations on July 27, 2026, ahead of its redevelopment into a 33-storey building with office and retail spaces. The Singapore Cruise Centre will continue to operate from the new terminal at 5 HarbourFront Avenue for the foreseeable future.
