The operations led to the arrest of 519 individuals, with 1,173 men and 603 women, aged between 15 and 85, being investigated for various offences. Among the arrested, 12 men and five women, aged between 34 and 72, were apprehended during anti-gambling raids in Sembawang Road and Yishun Street 61 on June 4 and 10. Additionally, 22 men and eight women, aged between 29 and 81, are under investigation for suspected involvement in illegal bookmaking and gambling activities in Jurong West. During this operation, cash exceeding $9,000 and gambling-related paraphernalia were seized.
In the realm of unlicensed massage services, one man and two women, aged between 47 and 60, are being investigated for breaches under the Massage Establishments Act 2017. Furthermore, three men, aged between 52 and 84, are under investigation for violations of the Public Entertainments Act 1958 in Jurong West. Another 31 men and seven women, aged between 15 and 70, are being investigated for allegedly assisting in loansharking activities and loan scams. Additionally, 57 men and 28 women, aged between 17 and 73, are under investigation for their suspected involvement in e-commerce scams and commercial crimes, believed to be linked to 172 cases reported island-wide, involving a sum of $680,000.
