The Singapore Cruise Centre (SCC) is set to commence operations at its new HarbourFront terminal on July 7, 2026, introducing a suite of advanced facilities designed to enhance the passenger experience. The upgraded terminal boasts self-service check-in kiosks, automated baggage drop counters, and biometric immigration clearance, mirroring the efficiency and convenience found in modern airports.

The new terminal, located just 70 meters from the previous HarbourFront Centre, occupies a 14,300-square-meter space and features a warm terracotta-red design. It has been meticulously planned to streamline passenger flow and improve overall travel efficiency. The terminal will serve as a hub for various ferry operators, including Batam Fast Ferry, Horizon Fast Ferry, Majestic Fast Ferry, Sindo Ferry, and Indo Falcon Shipping and Travel.

A standout feature of the upgraded terminal is the introduction of 25 self-service check-in kiosks on the first level. These kiosks allow passengers to print their boarding passes and baggage tags independently, reducing the need to queue at service counters. This system is expected to expedite the check-in process and enhance overall efficiency. Additionally, six automated baggage drop counters are available, enabling passengers to drop off their luggage swiftly after check-in.

For passengers traveling with bulky items such as bicycles, golf clubs, or baby strollers, dedicated curbside baggage drop points have been established to facilitate seamless processing. This initiative ensures that all passengers, regardless of their baggage requirements, can enjoy a smooth embarkation process.

Immigration procedures have also been upgraded with the installation of 46 automated clearance lanes on the second level. These lanes utilize the Immigration and Checkpoint Authority's Automated Border Clearance System, allowing Singaporean passport holders to clear immigration using facial biometrics. This technology significantly reduces processing times and enhances security measures.

Beyond operational enhancements, the terminal offers a range of amenities to ensure passenger comfort. The departure hall is approximately 50% larger than the previous terminal, providing ample space for travelers to relax before departure. The terminal also features various food and beverage options, including an Old Chang Kee café, 7-Eleven convenience store, and Subway outlet. Additional facilities such as nursing rooms, prayer rooms, wheelchair lifts, and electric vehicle charging points are available to cater to diverse passenger needs.
