In response to the escalating dengue cases in the Countryside Road and Lentor Avenue area, the Singapore government, through the National Environment Agency (NEA), has implemented comprehensive measures to control the outbreak and protect public health.
The NEA has intensified vector control operations, including spraying insecticides at residential premises and common areas, larviciding in common areas, and fogging to eliminate adult mosquitoes. These efforts aim to reduce the mosquito population and prevent further transmission of the dengue virus.
Additionally, the NEA is collaborating with community partners to engage residents through house visits, community events, and social media to raise awareness about dengue prevention. This collaborative approach seeks to empower residents with the knowledge and tools necessary to eliminate potential mosquito breeding sites in their homes and surroundings.
The government continues to monitor the situation closely and is committed to implementing further measures as needed to control the outbreak and safeguard public health.
