Questioning grazing as a scalable wildfire solution

Some fire experts and economists caution that grazing alone cannot solve Spain's wildfire problem. The decline in herds is driven by structural economic factors that are hard to reverse. Instead of only focusing on livestock, Spain should invest more in firebreaks, forest management, and early detection. Overgrazing in some areas can harm biodiversity. Climate change is making fires more extreme, and grazing may not be enough.
