Police in Hyderabad have launched an investigation into the disappearance of a local businessman and his wife, who were reported missing after allegedly departing for a vacation in Switzerland on June 22. The couple, 51-year-old Pabba Chandrasekhar and his 42-year-old wife, Pabba Swapna, were reported missing by their 23-year-old daughter after all communication with them ceased on July 8. While the initial report was filed as a missing persons case, the investigation has since expanded to include allegations of a significant financial fraud.

Authorities are currently examining claims that the couple, who operated a cement finance and chit fund business in Kushaiguda for three decades, may have collected approximately ₹50 crore from over 60 investors. Investors have reportedly alleged that the couple promised high returns on investments before vanishing. As of now, no formal cheating charges have been filed, and police are working to verify whether the couple actually boarded a flight to Switzerland or if they remain within the country.

Investigators are actively tracing the couple's financial transactions and travel records to determine their current whereabouts. Officials from the Cherlapally police station are coordinating with immigration authorities to gather further details. The couple's daughters, who remain at their residence, have appealed for assistance in locating their parents as the probe into the suspected financial irregularities continues.
