A violent rampage in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district has left six people dead, triggering a massive police manhunt and public outcry. The accused, 35-year-old Raju Kumar, allegedly murdered a 16-year-old girl who had previously filed a stalking complaint against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, along with her mother and grandmother. Following these killings, the suspect reportedly returned to his own home and murdered his wife, Saritha, and their two young sons, aged three and two.

The incident occurred on Friday night in the Shabad police station limits. Police report that the suspect, who had been out on bail, fled the scene immediately after the attacks. Authorities have launched an intensive search operation to locate him, and a local police sub-inspector has been suspended amid allegations of procedural lapses in handling the earlier stalking case.

This tragedy has devastated two families and shocked the local community. While the motive for the attack on the minor’s family appears linked to the ongoing legal case, the reasons behind the murder of his own wife and children remain under investigation. The bodies of the victims have been moved to a local mortuary for post-mortem examinations as officials work to piece together the sequence of events.

Local residents and family members of the teen victim have staged protests, demanding accountability for the failure to protect the complainant. As the investigation continues, the focus remains on apprehending the suspect and determining how he was able to carry out such a violent act while out on bail. The case highlights the severe risks faced by victims of sexual offenses and the critical importance of effective witness protection and police oversight.
