While the government cites global oil market fluctuations as reasons for the recent increases in fuel prices, many Malaysian consumers express concerns over the rising cost of living. The 20 sen per litre increase for RON97 and unsubsidised RON95 petrol, alongside the 35 sen per litre rise in unsubsidised diesel, may strain household budgets and affect small businesses reliant on fuel.
