DBS and POSB cardholders can look forward to significant savings on eggs and rice every Saturday, beginning July 18, 2026. This initiative is part of a broader S$10 million support package announced by DBS Bank in April to assist Singaporeans with the rising cost of living. The promotion will run for seven consecutive Saturdays, concluding on August 29, 2026.

During this period, customers can enjoy a S$3 discount on eggs and a S$3 discount on rice at participating Sheng Siong and Giant supermarket outlets. To qualify, cardholders must make purchases using any DBS or POSB credit or debit card. The offer is valid without a minimum spending requirement and applies to selected products under the respective supermarket brands. Each customer is limited to one redemption per item per day, and the promotion operates on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to stock availability.

The eligible products for this promotion include Giant Jasmine Fragrant Rice (5kg), Giant Fresh Farm Eggs (30-pack), Happy Family Jasmine Fragrant Rice, and Egg for You Fresh Farm Eggs (30-pack). This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on households by providing essential food items at reduced prices during the weekends.

Calvin Ong, Head of Consumer Banking Group at DBS Singapore, expressed hope that the initiative would help customers save on their weekend grocery shopping. He noted that the expansion of the offer to include both Sheng Siong and Giant supermarkets, along with an increase in the number of redemptions, would allow more people to benefit from these savings.

In addition to the discounts, DBS Bank plans to introduce a S$3 cashback through the PayLah! app starting in September. Further details about this upcoming offer will be announced closer to its launch date. Since 2023, DBS has implemented various cost-of-living support measures, including the popular S$3 cashback campaign for hawker meals, which was later extended to neighborhood stores and wet markets.

This promotion reflects DBS Bank's ongoing commitment to supporting Singaporeans in managing their daily expenses and enhancing the affordability of essential goods.
