Singapore's Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) has arrested three individuals and seized approximately 5.5 kilograms of cannabis following recent raids. The operation highlights the authorities' continuous efforts to combat drug trafficking and abuse in the country.
The latest CNB operation is part of a series of island-wide anti-drug initiatives. In a previous operation from 12 to 17 July 2026, the CNB arrested 100 suspected drug offenders and seized over 859 grams of cannabis, along with other controlled substances.
Singapore upholds a strict zero-tolerance policy toward drug-related offenses. Under the Misuse of Drugs Act, trafficking in more than 500 grams of cannabis can result in the death penalty.
The CNB continues to carry out regular operations to dismantle drug trafficking networks and prevent the spread of illicit substances within the community. Authorities urge the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to support these efforts.
Investigations into the arrested individuals are ongoing, with further details to be provided as they become available.
