In June 2026, Singapore's law enforcement agencies conducted a series of coordinated operations across the island, resulting in investigations into over 1,700 individuals aged between 15 and 85. These operations, which spanned from June 1 to June 28, were aimed at addressing a wide range of offenses, including illegal gambling, unlicensed massage services, vaporizer-related offenses, traffic violations, and illegal employment.
The collaborative effort involved more than 5,600 officers from the seven Police Land Divisions, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), and the Traffic Police. They worked in conjunction with agencies such as the Central Narcotics Bureau, Singapore Civil Defence Force, Land Transport Authority (LTA), and the Health Sciences Authority (HSA). Collectively, they conducted over 1,300 operations targeting various illicit activities.
One significant operation took place on June 4 and 10, when officers from the Woodlands Police Division executed anti-gambling raids in Sembawang Road and Yishun Street 61. During these raids, 12 men and five women, aged between 34 and 72, were arrested. Authorities seized cash amounting to more than $4,740 and gambling-related paraphernalia.
Another notable operation occurred on June 26, led by the Ang Mo Kio Police Division in collaboration with the CID and LTA. This joint enforcement effort targeted offenses related to active mobility devices (AMDs) in Sengkang and Punggol. The LTA identified 25 violations and confiscated 15 non-compliant AMDs. Additionally, three teenagers, aged between 16 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of being members of unlawful societies.
Enforcement actions also focused on unlicensed massage establishments and vice activities. On June 6, in Jalan Mas Puteh, two massage outlets were found operating without valid licenses, and vice activities were detected at these locations. Eight women, aged between 29 and 48, were arrested. Between June 10 and 13, the Tanglin Police Division, supported by the CID and HSA, conducted operations targeting massage establishments, hotels, commercial units, and public entertainment outlets in areas such as Balestier Road, Selegie Road, River Valley Road, Clarke Quay, and Sinaran Drive. This operation led to the investigation of 41 women and four men, aged between 24 and 47, as well as three massage establishments and three public entertainment outlets. Additionally, seven vaporizers were seized during this period.
The police emphasized that investigations into the 1,776 individuals are ongoing. Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Leon Chan, director of the Singapore Police Force’s operations department, commended the officers from all enforcement agencies for their professionalism and dedication. He stated, “Public safety and security is a shared responsibility. The police, together with partner agencies across the whole of government, will continue to use coordinated and targeted enforcement actions to prevent, detect and deter crime.” He further added that those engaging in criminal activities will be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law.
These operations reflect Singapore's ongoing commitment to maintaining public safety and upholding the rule of law through coordinated efforts among various agencies.
