In August 2026, approximately 1.5 million eligible adult Singaporeans will receive up to $850 in cash under the Goods and Services Tax Voucher (GSTV) scheme. This cash payout is determined by the recipient's assessable income for the Year of Assessment 2025 and the annual value of their place of residence. Additionally, about 710,000 eligible Singaporean seniors will receive MediSave top-ups ranging from $150 to $450, depending on their age and the annual value of their residence. These top-ups will be automatically credited to their CPF MediSave Accounts. The total disbursement under the GSTV – Cash and GSTV – MediSave schemes for 2026 amounts to approximately $1.4 billion. Eligible recipients who have previously signed up for these schemes will automatically receive their payments starting from August 7, 2026. Singaporeans who have not yet signed up can do so by July 14, 2026, to receive their payments in August. To expedite the process, citizens are encouraged to link their NRIC to PayNow by July 28, 2026, to receive their GSTV – Cash payouts earlier, by August 7, 2026. Notifications regarding the benefits will be sent via SMS to eligible recipients before and after the benefits have been credited. Those without a Singpass-registered mobile number will be informed through a letter sent to the address on their Singapore Identity Card. The government advises recipients to remain vigilant against scams and to verify any suspicious communications through official channels.
